Why iPad repair is its own craft
An iPhone screen unclips. An iPad does not, and that difference is where cheap repairs go wrong.
Glued glass, heated and lifted
iPad glass is bonded to the frame with adhesive that has to be warmed and released evenly. Rush it and the glass cracks again, or the LCD underneath gets damaged. This is why honest shops make iPads drop-off work.
Batteries behind the display
Getting to an iPad battery means going through the screen first. A swelling battery often shows up as glass lifting at a corner. Stop charging it and bring it in, swollen cells are a safety issue.
Ports and board-level failures
Charging problems can be debris, a worn port, or a board-level fault. We diagnose which before quoting, and our micro soldering bench repairs boards other shops replace or decline.
Liquid damage
Yes, iPads survive spills more often than people expect. Power it off, do not charge it, and bring it in for ultrasonic cleaning. The faster it arrives, the better the odds.

iPad repair questions
How much does iPad screen repair cost?+
iPad Air and 10th generation screens run $189 to $279 at our bench, against Apple's published $249 to $379. iPad Pro, mini, and older models are quoted per model at the free diagnostic, because panel prices vary widely between generations. You get the exact number before any work starts.
How long does iPad repair take?+
Most iPad repairs are drop-off with same or next day pickup. iPad glass is glued down over a separate display, so the job is careful heat-and-lift work rather than a quick swap, and iPad Pro screens (the OLED units especially) take longer than iPhone screens. Some current-model screens can be done while you wait. You get a realistic timeline at the quote, and a text the moment it is ready.
Why is iPad repair drop-off when iPhone screens are while-you-wait?+
Construction. An iPhone screen is one modular part that unclips. iPad glass is bonded to the frame with adhesive that has to be heated and lifted evenly, and rushing that step is how screens crack twice. A shop that promises every iPad in an hour is cutting a corner you will find later.
Can you replace an iPad battery?+
Yes. iPad batteries are glued in behind the display, so it is a longer job than an iPhone battery and gets quoted per model at the free diagnostic. If your iPad drains fast, shuts down early, or the screen is lifting at a corner (a swelling battery pushes the glass up), bring it in and stop charging it in the meantime.
Is my iPad worth repairing?+
The rule we use: if the repair quote is under half of what a working replacement costs, fix it. iPads hold value well, so the math usually favors repair, especially for Air and Pro models. When it does not, we say so, and we also buy used and broken devices, so a cracked iPad can help fund its replacement.
Which iPad models do you repair?+
Every model: iPad Pro (M-series and earlier A-series), iPad Air, iPad mini, and regular iPad including the 10th generation. Screens are the most common repair, then batteries and charging ports, plus board-level work for iPads that will not turn on.
Do I need an appointment?+
No. Walk in any time we are open, Monday to Friday 9 to 6 and weekends 10 to 4. The free diagnostic starts when you arrive, and most students and families drop the iPad off and pick it up the same or next day.
Bring the iPad in. We will take it from there.
