We are a newer shop run by a technician who is anything but new. Sam has more than 12 years of hands-on repair experience, and we built this place to do honest work and the board-level repairs most shops will not touch. No corporate runaround, no replace-it-when-we-can-fix-it.
Our story, the honest version
Computer Clinic Irvine started because of a pattern we kept seeing. People were getting overcharged for simple fixes, or told a perfectly repairable device was dead and they needed to buy a new one. The repair that should have cost a hundred dollars turned into a thousand-dollar replacement.
So we opened a shop that does the opposite. We are newer to having our own storefront, and we are not going to pretend we have been on this corner for twenty years. What we do have is a technician with more than a decade of real bench experience and a focus on the work most shops avoid: board-level micro soldering, the component-level repairs that bring a dead Mac, phone, or laptop back to life instead of replacing it.

The person fixing your device
Sam is our lead technician, and he does the repairs himself. More than 12 years in, he has seen just about every failure a computer, Mac, or phone can have, and he handles the board-level work in house rather than shipping it out. What that means for you: you are not dropping your device with a counter that forwards it to a far-away depot. You are handing it to the person who diagnoses it, quotes it, and fixes it.

Who actually does the repairs?+
Sam, our lead technician, does the repair work himself, including the board-level micro soldering that most shops send out. You are not handing your device to a rotating counter, you are handing it to the person who fixes it.
What makes you different from a big chain?+
Two things. We do board-level repair in house, so a device a chain would tell you to replace is often one failed component for us, which saves you a lot of money. And we give straight answers, with a written quote before any work and no pressure to buy what you do not need.
Is the diagnostic free?+
On almost everything, yes. Diagnostics are free, always free when we do the repair, and always free for students and veterans. The one exception is liquid and water damage, which takes real lab time to assess, so it carries a diagnostic fee if you decide not to go ahead with the repair. You always get a written quote first.
Do you offer a warranty?+
Yes. Every repair comes with a 90-day warranty on the work. If something related to the repair is not right, bring it back and we will make it right.
