Game Console & Handheld Repair in Irvine
Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox. HDMI ports, charging ports, stick drift, screens, fans, and liquid damage. We do the board-level work most game stores send away. Free diagnostic, honest quote, fast turnaround.

What we fix
PC handhelds and home consoles, from a quick controller fix to board-level repair.
HDMI port (PS5 / Xbox)
No picture or a bent port is a board-level repair. We replace the port itself instead of replacing the whole console.
Stick drift
Switch Joy-Cons, DualSense, Xbox controllers, and handheld thumbsticks. Clean or replace the module for accurate input again.
Charging port
USB-C ports on handhelds and controllers wear out and break. We replace them so it charges and docks reliably.
Liquid damage
Spilled on a Steam Deck or controller? We do full board cleaning and component repair to recover it.
No power / overheating
Power faults, dead fans, dried thermal paste, and shutdowns. Often a clean and re-paste, sometimes a board repair.
Board-level repair
The work most game stores will not touch. Micro soldering for ports, power rails, and damaged components.
Steam Deck and Steam Deck OLED, ASUS ROG Ally and Ally X, Lenovo Legion Go, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
PlayStation 5 and PS4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, plus controllers for all of them.
Why a board-level shop matters for consoles
Most places that say they fix consoles only swap whole parts. If the real problem is a damaged port or a fault on the board, they hand it back and tell you to buy a new one. A bent PS5 HDMI port, a dead power rail on a Steam Deck, or a controller that will not charge are all component-level problems, and replacing the whole device is rarely the answer.
We do micro soldering and board-level repair every day, on the same bench as our MacBook and phone logic board work. That means we can replace the actual failed port or component and give you back the console you already own. See a real example in our ROG Ally X liquid damage board repair walkthrough.
We tell you what is wrong and what it costs before any work starts, and you only pay if you approve. See typical rates on our repair prices page.

Console and handheld questions
Do you repair handhelds like the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go?+
Yes, all of them. Steam Deck and Steam Deck OLED, the ASUS ROG Ally and Ally X, the Lenovo Legion Go, and the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. These are dense little machines and most repairs are board-level, which is exactly what we specialize in. Stick drift, charging ports, screens, fans, and liquid damage are all common and fixable.
My PS5 has no HDMI signal or a damaged HDMI port. Can you fix it?+
Yes, and this is one of the most common console repairs we do. A bent or blown HDMI port on a PS5 or Xbox is a board-level repair: we replace the port itself rather than telling you to buy a new console the way the manufacturer often does. If the HDMI chip nearby was damaged too, we handle that as well.
What about controller and Joy-Con stick drift?+
We fix it. Stick drift on Switch Joy-Cons, DualSense and Xbox controllers, and handheld thumbsticks is usually a worn or dirty potentiometer or module. We clean or replace the part so your input is accurate again, often same day.
Can you recover a console or handheld with liquid damage?+
Often, yes. Liquid damage is board-level work, and we do full board cleaning and component repair that most game stores will not attempt. Power it off, do not charge it, and bring it in fast. We documented a no-power ROG Ally X liquid damage board repair on our blog so you can see the kind of work involved.
My console will not turn on or keeps overheating. What is it?+
Could be the power supply, a fan, dried thermal paste, or a board-level fault. We run a free diagnostic to find the real cause. Overheating and loud fans are often a cleaning and re-paste job, which is far cheaper than people expect. A true no-power fault we trace on the board.
Which consoles do you work on?+
PlayStation 5 and PS4, Xbox Series X and S and Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, plus the full range of PC handhelds (Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Legion Go). Charging ports, HDMI ports, screens, fans, drives, controllers, and board-level repair.
How long does a console or handheld repair take, and what does it cost?+
Every job starts with a free diagnostic and an exact quote before any work begins. Many repairs (controllers, fans, cleaning, charging ports) are same day or next day. Board-level work such as an HDMI port or liquid damage takes 2 to 5 days. You only pay if you approve the repair.
